About Stijn

Stijn Dautzenberg is a Continuous Delivery expert, full-stack developer and Co-Founder of Onderwijs in Beeld, a software company in the education sector on a mission to raise the reading enjoyment and reading skills of 1,000,000 pupils before the end of 2025.

He started programming when he turned eleven, and that first step eventually led to a computer science degree at Utrecht University. Alongside that bachelor's in Computer Science he broadened his domain knowledge with four courses from the Educational Sciences programme, and went to work at Search4Solutions under the guidance of Dr. Jan Vlietland and Kevin Ouwerkerk. Over a period of two and a half years, that gave him the chance to get a taste of CI/CD, marketing and sales.

Around the start of the coronavirus crisis he changed course completely. He resigned, deleted all his social media and brought focus to his work. As a result he earned the highest grade in his year for his thesis, and began the meaningful project that became "Onderwijs in Beeld".

He loves morning runs, playing guitar and singing. His personal goal is to run 10km in 45 minutes on 28 March 2022.
